About Wedge Custom Bait Works
 Welcome to Wedge Custom Bait Works. I began pouring my own soft plastic
baits to try some custom color and flake combinations that don't
necessarily follow the standard colors of the larger bait producers.
I just thought it was a really cool idea that I could come up with a
color scheme, make it into a real bait and then go out and catch fish
with it. That idea is the reason that I have stepped things up from
just making a couple of baits at a time for my own use, to making the
process more efficient so that other people can try my combinations or
try their own color combinations through Wedge custom pouring services.
With that said you will see that some of my color and flake combinations
are close to the standards that you see produced by other bait companies.
The reason for that...you can't argue with success. We all have our favorite
colors, and flake combinations that we know work, and we can tell stories
about that time we out fished our buddy because they were using their
favorite color and ours worked better. I do not have any plans on putting
any of the big guys out of business, or them even knowing who I am. I do
this because I enjoy it and I enjoy catching fish.
One major difference you will notice with my baits compared to most others
is the scent. The scent used in my baits is added twice in the pouring process.
Once while the soft plastic is still in a liquid form and then again when
they are placed into the scent locking bags. I also use a pretty heavy amount
of salt in the baits. I may not use as much as some others out there but I
use more than most. Sure I could use more but I believe that I have the salt
content right for the type of fishing I do.
